Carrol Ann Orr, age 78, a resident of Richmond, Missouri, a former resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, Missouri.
Carrol was born the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Samms) Prewitt on July 20, 1944, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a graduate of Dawn High School. Carrol was united in marriage to Thomas Orr on February 20, 1966, in Cowgill, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1993. She was a member of the Gospel Christian Center, Cowgill, Missouri. Carrol enjoyed gardening, and loved spending time with her family, friends, and her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, David Orr and wife Paige of Trimble, Missouri; one daughter, Sheri Orr of Richmond, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kelton Orr and wife Olivia of Odessa, Missouri, and Kendall Orr of Manhattan, Kansas; two brothers, Ronald Prewitt and wife Judy of Gladstone, Missouri, and Richard Prewitt and wife Janna of Riverside, California; and two sisters, Joyce Ellis of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Judy Bloss of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Mary McElwee.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, May 26, 2023, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. Burial will be held at Black Oak Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Shirkey Hospice and/or Black Oak Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
