Carolyn Kay Lee Nelson
Carolyn Kay Lee Nelson, 71, of Junction City passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Frank Blackledge. She was born on Nov. 1, 1949 in Chillicothe, Missouri, to the late Lester and Melba Dean Daugherty Lee.
Carolyn graduated from Tina-Avalon High School. She enjoyed working in the banking industry. She began banking at Citizens Bank in Chillicothe as a teller and loan secretary and later worked in wholesale mortgage lending in San Diego, California, retiring from Mylor Financial, Inc.
She is survived by 2 sons, Rodney (Maegan) Braymer of Danville and Chad (Penny) Braymer of Kansas City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren: Cody, Carson, Branson, Drew Reith, Spenser, Ally and Emma Braymer and Macie Pass. In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lee, and sister, Debbie Lee.
A funeral service in Kentucky will be Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 7:00 PM by the Rev. Judy Wilson with visitation beginning at 5:00 PM at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland.
A funeral service in Missouri will be Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM at Lindley Funeral Home, 120 N. Main St. Tina, Missouri 64682. Burial will follow in the Rock Branch Cemetery in Tina, Missouri. Online condolences may be made at
