Carolyn Jean Gray Carolyn Jean Gray, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri. Carolyn was born the daughter of Russell and Orvella (Nash) Sipes on December 28, 1945, in Utica, Missouri. She was a 1963 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Gray on February 15, 1967, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2016. Carolyn worked in housekeeping and laundry at Morningside Center for over 20 years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Carolyn enjoyed going to the casino. Survivors include one son, Kevin Gray of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Gina White, Shelley Gray, and Andrea Johnson all of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Russell Sipes of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Samuel Gray of New York, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; one brother, Charles Sipes; three sisters, Roberta Sipes, Shirley Gray, and Jacquelyn Crider; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Gray. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, July 1, 2016, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
