Carolyn Louise (Little) Cowan Carolyn Louise (Little) Cowan, Age 76, a resident of Braymer, Missouri died on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital Kansas City, Missouri. Carolyn was born the daughter of Frank Eugene and Bertha Mae (McConnel) Little on May 29, 1940 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Carolyn grew up at Grand Oaks Baptist Church Camp and worked after school at Harless King's Ice Cream store. She was a 1958 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Trenton Junior College. On April 25, 1960 in Braymer, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bruce Cowan. Together they moved to Braymer, Missouri where they farmed and ran a 100 sow farrow to finish operation. Bruce and Carolyn had two country music bands The Moonlighters and The Midwesterners. They often played at dances and stage shows all over Northwest Missouri. Bruce played the steel guitar and Carolyn played the Bass. Carolyn was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church for 32 years. She was very active in the church as the organist, pianist and bassist in the praise band. Carolyn was also active in the Braymer Community, starting the girls pee wee league and coaching the county's girls softball team. Additionally, she spent over 30 years as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and working in the food service industry at many of the local restaurants. Most recently at P.C.'s Elkhorn Steakhouse. Family was very important to Carolyn and she will be missed by all who loved her. She often said "I'll wait for you beyond the moon." Carolyn is survived by four daughters; Connie Prindle and husband Vince of Braymer, Missouri, Teresa Summerville and husband Chris of Braymer, Missouri, Julie Gorham and husband Phillip of Braymer, Missouri and Sherri Passiglia of Holt, Missouri, ten grandchildren John Anderson, Tanner Fuson, Addison, Gabriel, Jacob, and Tucker Passiglia, Heather McLean, Cody Maberry, and Alex and Stephanie Summerville; five great grandchildren; Johnathon Anderson, Travis Anderson, McKenzie Anderson, Christian McLean, and Jasmine McLean. She is also survived by one brother Philip Little of Van Nuys, California and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Bruce one infant daughter Susan Cowan, son-in-law Tony Passiglia, brother Larry Little, and two grandchildren Austin Anderson and Allison Passiglia. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Braymer Baptist Church Braymer, Missouri. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley-Pitts Funeral Home Braymer, Missouri on Sunday January 22, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Braymer, Missouri.
