Carol Sue (Lightle) Terry

Carol Sue Terry, age 65, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. "Sue" was born the daughter of Floyd "Gale" and Ruth Ellen (Garber) Lightle on March 20, 1946 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She worked at Ozark National Life in Kansas City, Missouri for 15 years. Later, she retired and moved in with her daughter where she spent her days enjoying her grandson who affectionately called her "GeGe". She is survived by one daughter, Kim Haynes of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Floyd "Corky" Lightle of Meadville, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Lightle of Meadville, Missouri, and Linda Sauerssig of Ottawa, Kansas; one grandson, Tucker; and several nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt Sue. She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. There will be a family visitation on Saturday at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at the Rock Branch Cemetery, Tina, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to her grandson Tucker's Education Fund and can be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
