Carol Belle "Becky" Shouse Carol Belle "Becky" Shouse, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Becky was born the daughter of George Russell and Jane (Schwagler) in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was a 1956 graduate of Washington High School, Washington, Iowa. She then attended Draughon Business College in Springfield, Missouri, graduating in 1957. Becky attended North Central Missouri College working towards a degree in Early Childhood Development. She was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" Shouse on March 16, 1958, in La Russell, Missouri. He survives of the home. Becky worked as a preschool teacher for Headstart, and she founded in the late 70's Daydreams Daycare and Preschool with Jan Pitts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was very active in the choir, as well as the Philathea Class. She was a member of the Red Hatters. Becky served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved reading, crafting, gardening, and drawing. Survivors include her husband, Chuck, of the home; one son, Russell Shouse of Cameron, Missouri; three daughters, Leslie McFadden and husband John of San Antonio, Texas, Sherry Cook and husband Jim of Overland Park, Kansas, and Robin Ragan and husband Dennis of Chillicothe, Missouri; foster children, Lori Morgan and Christie Morgan of the home; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mercy Brinning of Brighton, Iowa, and Marjy Martin of Washington, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster daughter, Teanya Davis; and brother-in-law, Donnie Joe Brinning. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
