Carol Eileen Scott 80, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, (formally Shawnee, Kansas) passed away peacefully at the home of her nephew Michael Spaw, Lee's Summit, Missouri on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Carol was the firstborn daughter of James and Clara (Long) Scott on April 27, 1941, in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Carol always put family first, she was extremely proud of her daughter, grandson, and great grandson.  Throughout her life, Carol always went out of her way to meet the needs of her family.  She worked for over 50 years for Waids, Forum, and HRG Restaurant Group.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Scott) Mitchell of the home, Lee's Summit, grandson, Ryan (Meghan) Mitchell, great-grandson Logan Mitchell, Noah and Izzy of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Dwight Scott and Davey (Paula) Scott both of Chillicothe, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Scott, Pat Scott of Chillicothe Missouri and Ann Scott of Eldon, Missouri, along with many nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Sherry Scott; twins Raye Spaw; and Kaye Lewis; four brothers, Alan Scott, Phil Scott, Doug Scott, and Danny Scott; nephew, James Spaw, niece Katie Scott; great nephew, Riley Minnis and brother-in-law, Chester Spaw
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe Missouri on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. There will be no scheduled visitation. Friends and family may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the May Cemetery in Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to May Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
