Carol Imogene (Smith) Kincaid Carol Imogene (Smith) Kincaid, age 74, a resident of Knoxville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab, Eldon, Missouri. Carol was born the daughter of James Dempsie and Clara (Rice) Smith on August 31, 1942, in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Robert C. (Bobby) Kincaid on July 16, 1959, in Aurora, Illinois. Carol worked as an executive secretary in advertising at Tension Envelope in Kansas City, Missouri, until 1969, when she and Bobby purchased Kincaid Oil Company in Knoxville, Missouri. Bobby and Carol worked side by side operating and growing their business until Bobby's death in 1982. Survivors include one son, James Clayton Kincaid; one daughter, Lisa Renee Kincaid Guffey; grandsons, Chance Guffey, Lane McBee and Tyler Mandl; granddaughter, Cheyenne McBee; great granddaughters, Farrah Daelyn Guffey, Emery, and Layla; one brother, Verlin Smith and wife Lynna; two sisters-in-law, Norma Smith and Betty Floryanic; brother-in-law, Bill Wayne Kincaid; and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby; sisters, Vivian Smith and Karen Houston; brother, Gary Dale Smith; and her mother and father-in-law, Marion and Colene (Hendrix) Kincaid. A memorial service will be held at the Knoxville Community Church, 19021 MO-13, Rayville, MO 64084, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Inurnment will be held at Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knoxville Community Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
