Carl Alden Bowman, age 76, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Carl was born the son of Floyd F. and Cecil E. (Wooden) Bowman on September 28, 1942, in Carroll County, Missouri. He was a 1958 graduate of Tina-Avalon High School. He was united in marriage to Amanda "Mandy" Barrett on July 5, 1964, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Carl worked as a heavy equipment operator for Hunt Midwest Mining for many years. He also worked as a manager for Bob Staton Service 10 years. Carl also farmed and was a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Carl loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Trixi and Max. Carl was a member of the Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy, of the home; one son, Brian Bowman and wife Vanessa of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Christie Noble of Chillicothe, Missouri; six grandchildren, Preston, Evinne, Tanner, Christopher, Mary, and Barrett; four great grandchildren; one sister, Connie Huntsman of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carla Sue Roberts; and one grandson, Jeffrey Carl Bowman.
A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Enon Cemetery, Enon, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
