Buddy Wayne Griffin Buddy Wayne Griffin, age 74, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Buddy was born the son of Charles and Dorothy (Gordon) Griffin on July 31, 1940, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1958 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1961. Buddy was united in marriage to Helen Clevenger on April 16, 1960, in Newport, Rhode Island. She survives of the home. He owned and operated Midway Feed and Supply with his father for 11 years. He also worked at Ford Garage for 15 years until his retirement. He then worked for Car Quest Auto Parts, and most recently owned and operated Buds New Look Auto. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; three children, Tamra Simpson and husband John of St. Joseph, Missouri, Pamela Shadrick and husband Shane of Camdenton, Missouri, and Bryan Griffin and spouse Christopher Grebowiec of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandchildren, Hilary Simpson, Angel Simpson and Colby Shadrick; one brother, Jerry Griffin and wife Nina of Chillicothe, Missouri; and one sister, Sandra Blakley and husband Ray of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
