He spent his childhood years in Springfield, MO; Overland Park, KS; San Ramon, CA; Sandy, UT; and lastly in Villa Hills, KY where he graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 2002. In 2008, Brian began working at Microsoft for the rest of his career, most recently as a Senior Software Engineer. “He was a key leader in innovation, working to improve security, automation, speed, and the quality of multiple Microsoft Office products. Brian was an excellent team leader. He kept his team focused on solving meaningful problems. He led by example with great care for the product while maintaining a strong work ethic”.
Brian also had a love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, canoeing, biking and also the occasional rock climb. As a child he was known for catching snakes to scare his older sisters with, taking them on planes, and feeding them in front of guests. In his teenage years, Brian quickly became the “funcle” to his nieces and nephews to whom he loved to spoil. Brian’s quiet and caring, yet goofy demeanor will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
