Brenda Louise Moss Brenda Louise Moss, age 55, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at her residence. Brenda was born the daughter of Earl Lee (Bud) and Hattie M. (Batson) McCollum on July 7, 1962, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a graduate of Wheeling High School. She was united in marriage to James Mix on March 6, 1986, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1995. Brenda was then united in marriage to Darrell Moss on June 3, 2000, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives of the home. She worked as a clerk at Walmart in Brookfield, Missouri, for 10 years. Brenda enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Darrell of the home; one son, Nathan James Mix (Shanda) of Mesa, Arizona; one step son, Scott Robinson of St. Joseph, Missouri; one step daughter, Kim Washburn (Scott) of Trenton, Missouri; one grandchild, Isaac Mix of Mesa, Arizona; eight step grandsons, Clayton, Mason, and Carson Radcliff all of Trenton, Missouri, Isaac Washburn of Chillicothe, Missouri, Chase and Colton Robinson of Whitehouse, Tennessee, Skyler Robinson, United States Army, Fort Irwin, California, and Peyton Allen of Kansas City, Missouri; four step granddaughters, Jaycee Robinson of Browning, Missouri, Libby, Ellie, and Rylee Washburn all of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, David Earl McCollum (Ester) of Slater, Missouri; two sisters, Janet Caselman of Wheeling, Missouri, and Sue Ann McCollum of Decatur, Illinois; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harpo and Lucille Staton of Carrollton, Missouri; five brothers-in-law, David Moss (Debbie) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Dennis Moss (Kathy Lake) of Utica, Missouri, Richard Moss (Sylvia) of Nevada, Missouri, Mark Moss (Jenny) of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Ed Spencer (Natalie) of Sedalia, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Marcia Moss of Chillicothe, Missouri, Sondra Crowder of Omaha, Nebraska, Anita Jacobs (Howard) of Meadville, Missouri, and Mary Pepper (Mike) of Columbia, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Mix; uncles, Corky McCollum, Ronnie Batson, and John Tredway; aunts, Sharon Robinson, and Jackie Stephens; great nephews, Robert Jace Idom and David Earl McCollum, Jr.; great-great nephew, Jayden Larry Idom; brother-in-law, Larry Caselman; and sister-in-law, Carol Spencer. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
