Boyd Glenn Simons Boyd Glenn Simons, age 78, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at his residence. Boyd was born the son of Glenn and Rose (Lochner) Simons on August 30, 1936, in Cherokee County, Iowa. He was a 1954 graduate of Larrabee High School. He was united in marriage to Eileen Miller on October 7, 1972, in Sioux City, Iowa. She survives of the home. Boyd and Eileen made their home in Braymer, Missouri, in 1975, when they moved from Laurens, Iowa. He worked as a self-employed rancher. He also owned and operated the Tina Livestock Auction for several years. Boyd continued to be active in the cattle business up until his passing. Survivors include his wife, Eileen of the home; three sons, Douglas Simons of Alta, Iowa, Craig Simons of Phoenix, Arizona, and Nick Miller of Braymer, Missouri; three daughters, Dian Hallmark of New Braunfels, Texas, Kay Simons of Phoenix, Arizona, and Julie Howe of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Dorlis Miller; and one sister, June Berkheimer. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
