Bonnie Lou Saale, age 80, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
Bonnie was born the daughter of Elmer J. and Selma (Teidt) Wente on April 13, 1941, in Westgate, Iowa. She was a 1959 graduate of Ethel High School. She was united in marriage to Clifford "Pete" Saale on December 2, 1966, in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. Bonnie worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell until her retirement in 1973. She then owned and operated The Flower Shoppe in Brookfield, Missouri, for 15 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Bonnie was also a member of the Jolly Janes and the Chillicothe Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford "Pete" Saale of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Saale and wife Jamie of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Michael Saale and wife Sherri of Heartland, Wisconsin; one "adopted" daughter, Wendy Nelson and husband Steve of Elk River, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Benten Saale, Christopher Saale and husband Elvis, Belinda Saale, and Tim Saale; four "adopted" grandchildren, Kayt Scott and husband Zach, Jessica Patch and husband Colin, Hannah Hawley, and Ben Hawley; and one sister, Myrna Kay Bauer of Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Doyle Wente.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
