Bonnie Mae Leakey Bonnie Mae Leakey (Boswell) a resident of Braymer Missouri passed away on Monday July 27, 2015 at Northcare Hospice in North Kansas City, Missouri. Bonnie was born on April 6, 1931 in Grayson, Missouri, the daughter of Ezra and Mattie (Thompson) Boswell. She was a 1948 graduate of Gower High School, Gower, Missouri, where she was salutatorian of her senior class. She was united in marriage to Dorris Allen Leakey on July 4, 1952 in Grayson, Missouri. After their marriage they moved to Braymer, Missouri. He survives of the home. Bonnie was employed at Kansas City Tractor and Implement Co. for 6 years. Bonnie was a housewife and homemaker as well as co-farmed with her husband. She also loved her gardening and sewing as well as painting. She was a member of the Catawba Club and a den mother of the cub scouts for several years. She taught Sunday School at Grayson Community Church until 1952. Survivors include husband Dorris of the home, one son Mark Leakey and girlfriend Becky Mitchell of Braymer, one daughter Connie McPheeters and husband Steve of Liberty, Missouri, one brother Buddie Boswell and wife Virginia of Idalou Texas, three grandchildren, Scott Leakey of Braymer, Bret McPheeters and Brooke McPheeters of Liberty Missouri, three great grandchildren, Taylor, Courtney, and Morgan all of Braymer. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northcare Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
