Bonnie Kaye Draper Bonnie Kaye Draper, age 65, a resident of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at her residence. Bonnie was born the daughter of Howard and Betty (Deem) Draper on May 29, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1967 graduate of Truman High School. After graduation, she attended University of Central Missouri earning her Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Then in 1974, she earned her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority at University of Central Missouri. Bonnie worked as a Probation Officer in Kansas City, Missouri, for 18 years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Independence, Missouri. Survivors include one brother, Stephen Draper and wife Kathleen of Independence, Missouri; one step niece, April Phipps of Independence, Missouri; one step nephew, Jeffery Barker and wife Dana of Blue Springs, Missouri; several cousins, Pat Reeter and husband Larry of Chillicothe, Missouri, Larry Sparling of Independence, Missouri, Rex Meneely and wife Janice of Kirksville, Missouri, Linda Lionberger and husband Richard of Savannah, Missouri, Beverly Brown and husband Larry of Kansas City, Missouri, Max E. Meneely and wife Yong of Kansas City, Missouri, Diana Ybarra and husband Pete of Greeley, Colorado; and Betty Deem of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents; and cousin, Charles Buford Deem. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 16, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
