Bonnie Dennis

Bonnie Dennis, age 77, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away at her home on Monday, June 21, 2010. She was born the daughter of Earl and Edna Mae (Landreth) Lightfoot in Bosworth, Missouri, on May 1, 1933. Bonnie was a 1951 graduate of Hale High School. Bonnie was a member of Chapter BH PEO and enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church in Hale, Missouri. Survivors include one son Mark K. Dennis and wife Diane of Hale, Missouri; two daughters, Candy Hart and husband Larry of Hale, Missouri, Penny Hutchison and husband Randall of Overland Park, Kansas; three brothers, Jake Lightfoot and wife Mary of Clinton, Missouri, Bill Lightfoot and wife Norma of North Kansas City, Missouri, and Gary Lightfoot of Bonner Springs, Kansas; one sister Helen Walker of Alma, Missouri; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Fern Barlow, brothers Harold Lightfoot and Raymond Lightfoot, two infant brothers Ervin and Lawrence, and one infant sister, Wanda. Funeral services will be held at the Hale Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Wednesday, June 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Friends may call on Wednesday after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Burial will be in the Hale Memorial Gardens, Hale, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Hospice and/or H.E.L.P. Services of Carrollton, Missouri.
