Bobby Zimmer, age 46, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on March 26, 2010 at Hedrick Medical Center. He was born, the son of Henry Zimmer and Betty Zimmer at Axtell Hospital in Princeton, Missouri on May 8, 1963. Bob was a devoted and loving father for 12 ½ years to daughter Bobbi Jo. He was a distributor for Gallatin Publications for the past 10 years. He had also worked as a carrier for the St. Joseph News Press, The Constitution-Tribune, and the Ad Pages when first starting in Chillicothe. He was a 1981 graduate of Chillicothe High School where he was active in the "Marching Hornets", concert chorale, and football all 4 years. He attended Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, both in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member of the YMCA from its beginning in Chillicothe. He loved all sports, especially Chillicothe High School football and the Chiefs. He was active as a player and coach for the church co-ed softball team as well as playing volleyball, and ping pong with the church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Mary Moss, of Princeton, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Daniel "Sug" and Doris Zimmer, of Princeton, Missouri; maternal great-grandparents, Iris and M.E. Laffollette, ofCainsville, Missouri, and Nathan and Niecie Rogers; paternal great-grandparents, Henry and Eva Velle Havens, and Milton and Alice Zimmer; uncle, Jim Noland, of Trenton, Missouri; and niece, Desiree Huff, of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is survived by his parents, Henry Zimmer and Betty Zimmer, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Bobbi Jo Zimmer, of the home; one sister, Debra Huff, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two uncles, Danny Zimmer, of Kirksville, Missouri and Bill Moss, of Fairbanks, Alaska; one aunt, Nellie Noland, of St. Joseph, Missouri; two nephews, Desmond Huff and Demetri Brutus, of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
