Blanche Maxine (Clevenger) Hawkins Blanche Maxine (Clevenger) Hawkins, age 94, a resident of Norborne, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, Missouri. Blanche was born the daughter of James Bart and Jessie Reba (Yoakum) Clevenger on January 14, 1922, Caldwell County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ira Lee Hawkins on February 1, 1939, in Richmond, Missouri. To this union four children were born. They were married 54 years. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1993. Blanche worked on the production line at Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Missouri for 13 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking, country music, and dancing. She loved having visitors and entertaining guests. Survivors include one son, Gary Hawkins and wife Ruth of Norborne, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Cline and husband Denny of Greenwood, Missouri; six grandchildren, Laura Barron of Norborne, Missouri, Michael Hawkins and wife Tammy of Norborne, Missouri, Christy Wileman and husband Dean of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Gary Cline and wife Chrissy of Genoa, Illinois, Marney Belmore and husband Nicholas of Carrollton, Missouri, Aaron Hawkins and wife Lyndsey of Norborne, Missouri; twenty-five great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Nadine Silkwood of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Bart Clevenger of Braymer, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira; two infant children; two brothers, Herbert Clevenger and Bufford Clevenger; and two sisters, Mildred (McElwee) Redman and Louise Shaver. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Sunday, August 14, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
