Bill N. Sammons

William "Bill" N. Sammons, age 87, a resident of Wathena, Kansas, former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at the Loma Linda Health Care, Inc., Moberly, Missouri. He was born on July 12, 1922, in Chillicothe, Missouri. On June 13, 1965, he married Carrie Ellen Mace. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1984. Bill was a truck driver and mill worker for for Milbank Mills in Chillicothe, Missouri for several years. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by a great-granddaughter, LayLonnie Charles and husband Richard of Moberly, Missouri; three great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; and three sisters. Graveside services will be at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2010. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Sammons Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
