Beverly Ann Fugate, "Mother", a cherished resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 76. Born the daughter of Eugene Crosser and Dorothy (Walker) Hatfield, on December 2, 1947 in Alliance, Nebraska. Beverly lived a life dedicated to her family, her community, and her craft.
Beverly's compassionate and generous spirit was evident in her work as a glove sewer at Midwest Gloves in Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was employed for many years. She was passionate about sewing and crocheting, creating countless treasures for her family and friends. Her talents extended beyond her immediate circle, as she dedicated her time to repairing toys for underprivileged children in Mexico, spreading joy and kindness to those who needed it most. Known affectionately as "Mother" by her family and friends, including her grandchildren's friends, her nurturing spirit touched many hearts.
Beverly found joy and companionship at Bella Brooks in Chillicothe, where she spent her days surrounded by friends and loved ones. Her nurturing nature and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impact on those around her.
Beverly is survived by her loving children, Patty (James) Cassity, Jackie (Lloyd) Jamison, and William Fugate, all of Chillicothe, Missouri; three brothers Brian (Patty) Crosser of Meadville, Missouri, Bobby (Patty) Crosser of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Donnie (Kayleen) Hatfield of Chillicothe, Missouri; sisters Barbara (Richard) Maberry of Chillicothe, Missouri, Becky (Richard) Norris of Chillicothe, Missouri, Donna (David) Pepper of Fulton, Missouri, and Debbie Reed of Blue Springs, Missouri. She leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren, Tasha Sackrey, Courtney Alexander, Jackie Lee (Andrea) Jamison, Lloyd Jamison, and Tiffany (Dean) Maples, as well as great-grandchildren, Hunter Sackrey, Katie Sackrey, Kayce Alexander, Maggie, Drayk and Dawson Jamison, Addison and Maci Jamison, and Weston and Knox Maples.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Crosser; mother, Dorothy Hatfield; step-father, Donald Hatfield; first husband, William Dean Fugate; second husband, George Padgett; brother, Bill Crosser; two sisters, Betty Zuke and Bonnie Pelly; daughter-in-law, Mary Fugate, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
