Betty Jean Walker Betty Walker, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at her home. Betty was born the daughter of Bob and Grace (Holman) Venable on September 23, 1926, in rural Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1944 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. Betty was united in marriage to Harry Nelson Walker on March 5, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1986. Betty lived her entire life in Sampsel areas and moved to Chillicothe in 2003. She was a past member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and a current member of the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe. Betty was a caring, gentle person who loved spending time with her family. She studied genealogy and enjoyed flowers, listening to gospel music and visiting about the past. Survivors include son David Nelson Walker and Linda of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters Deborah Walker and friend David Moore of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kimberly Dinsmore and husband Nelson of Meadville, Missouri; four grandchildren Candace Anthony and husband Ray of Liberty, Missouri, J'Nelle Jenkins and husband Andrew of Liberty, Missouri, and Jake and Tyler Dinsmore of Meadville, Missouri; four great-grandchildren Frank Anthony and Alex Anthony and Riley and Megan Jenkins all of Liberty, Missouri; two sisters-in-law Elizabeth Venable of Topeka, Kansas, and Carol Venable of Kansas City, Missouri; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry Nelson Walker; brothers Bill Venable and Don Venable; and a grandson Conner Dinsmore. Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, May 3, 2014 one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, May 2, 2014, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Mt.
