Bessie "Betty" G. Jones Betty G. Jones, age 101, a resident of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 in her home at Rosewood Estates. She was born on September 26, 1909 in Chula, Missouri the daughter of John and Emma (Sam) Ishmael. She was a 1926 graduate of Chula High School. On August 10, 1929 she was married to Arthur Jones in Chillicothe, Missouri. They farmed and raised two daughters near Chillicothe until moving into town and retiring. Before her retirement, she was an employee at Lambert Gloves and worked as a glove sewer and closer for 32 years. Survivors include one daughter Barbara Fettkether of Waterloo, Iowa; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur; one daughter Billie Lucas; one sister Mildred Sullivan; three son-in-laws; and one grandson David Fettkether. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. A family visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 starting at 12 noon until service time at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held at the Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Compassus and may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosewood Estates, Hospice, and to all the friends that stopped to visit Betty while residing there.
