Betty Luan Davis Betty Luan Davis, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Betty was born the daughter of Joseph Warren and Carrie (Rupe) Murray on December 6, 1925, in Polo, Missouri. She was a 1943 graduate of Braymer High School. She was united in marriage to William Clifford Davis on February 6, 1942, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1998. Betty worked as a CNA at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, Missouri, for many years. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 113. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include one son, William Davis and wife Susan of Chillicothe, Missouri; six grandchildren, Misty Dawn Sampsel and husband David of Chillicothe, Missouri, Tracy Rena Kralicek and husband Shawn of Trenton, Missouri, Shaen Rooney of Joplin, Missouri, Katie Rooney of Kansas City, Missouri, Scott Davis and wife Heather of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kylee Soucie and husband David of Kansas City, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Jacob Sampsel, Eric Davis, Ethan Davis, Matthew Kralicek, and Declan Rooney; one sister, Dixie Lee Devenney of Alexandria, Virginia; one uncle, Ralph Rupe of Lathrop, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; one son, Michael Dean Davis; one grandson, Michael Todd Davis; one infant brother; six brothers, Forrest Verle Murray, Gilbert Austin Murray, Doral Murray, Joseph Warren Murray Jr., VaughnCill Murray, and Billy Dean Murray; and three sisters, Lillian Beatrice VanTrump, Herma Genevieve McKnight, and Virginia Margerie Patterson. Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A Order of Eastern Star service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
