Betty Eileen Burnett
Betty Eileen Burnett, age 79, a resident of Polo, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Betty was born the daughter of Harold Warren and Bernice Rose (Doughty) Karch on September 16, 1939, in Macy, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Francis E. Burnett on December 15, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1996. Betty worked as a factory worker at Midwest Gloves in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. She owned and operated The Breckenridge Café and later a second hand store in Cameron, Missouri, for several years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting. Betty was very adamant about giving back to her community.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Burnett and wife Brenda of Polo, Missouri, George Burnett and wife Tesha of Cameron, Missouri, and Neil Burnett of Warrensburg, Missouri; two daughters, Bernice Fields and husband Paul of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Brenda Taylor of Warrensburg, Missouri; thirty-one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Donna Burnett of Cameron, Missouri; stepfather, Neil Doughty of Omaha, Nebraska; significant other of 19 years, Dwane Adams of Polo, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; two sons, Francis E. Burnett, Jr. and Gary Burnett; three infant daughters, Peggy, Danette, and Annette Burnett; and one great granddaughter, Haley Dawn Clark.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
