Barry Handelman, age 79, a resident of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his residence.
Barry was born the son of Albert and Anabel (Schneider) Handelman on October 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a Kirkwood High School graduate and continued his education at the University of Missouri - Columbia, where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education. On June 1, 1980, he married Patricia Greenwood in Breckenridge, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Barry worked at the Moberly Correctional Center, Moberly, Missouri, for 27 years where he was  the educational instructor. He was a member of the Auxvasse Lions Club.  Barry was a very talented individual as he was affectionately known as, "a jack of all trades, and master of none."
He is survived by his wife, Patty, of the home; two sons, Jacob Handelman and wife, Lyu WeiJia, of Tianjin, China and William Handelman of Fulton, Missouri; one grandson, Henry Handelman ; one  sister, Myra Weiner of Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Millisand Singer and Maurita Handelman.
Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri on Monday, April  11,2022, at 2:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Super Sam Foundation for Children's Cancer Research and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
