Barbara Ann Laffey, age 69, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at her residence.
Barbara was born the daughter of James Helm and Betty (Miller) Helm on December 15, 1949. She was a graduate of Marceline High School. Barbara was united in marriage to Lowell Laffey on December 17, 1973 in Palmyra, Missouri. He survives of the home. She loved making crafts, music, writing, photography, traveling, shopping, and riding motorcycles. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Laffey, of the home; one son, Mark Laffey and wife Jennifer of Kirksville, Missouri; two daughters, Jennie Cox and husband Jeff of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Jessica VanDusen of Chillicothe, Missouri; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; stepmother, Shirley Helm of Stigler, Oklahoma; four brothers, Ronnie Helm and wife Carol of Olathe, Kansas, David Helm and wife Gloria of Stigler, Oklahoma, Rick Helm and wife Paula of Marceline, Missouri, Larry Helm, of Stigler, Oklahoma; two sisters, Susan Harrell of Kirksville, Missouri, Linda Dickinson and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
