Aura Belle Shafer

Aura Belle Shafer, age 99, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri on Monday, April 19, 2010. She was born in Grundy County, Missouri on September 29, 1913 the daughter of Nova and Eva (Burtch) Cartwright. Aura enjoyed being a housewife. Survivors include two sons, James Shafer and Jack Shafer of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; parents; Services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Alpha Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Alpha Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
