Arlene "Kay" Garrison, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her residence.
Kay was born the daughter of Harold Russell and Theo (Sharp) Council on November 11, 1945, in Nodaway County, Missouri. She was a 1963 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Gary Garrison on October 27, 1963, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2012. Kay worked as a customer service representative for Skillpath in Chillicothe, Missouri, since 2002. She attended the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Kay was an avid Kansas City Royals fan, with Mike Moustakas being her favorite player. She was also an avid Raiders fan, as well as NASCAR, with Tony Stewart being her favorite driver. She enjoyed collecting buttons and marbles.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Garrison of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Teri Gardner and husband Scott of Chillicothe, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jordan Gardner, Carly Gardner, Dallas Garrison, Haley Garrison, and Zoie Garrison all of Chillicothe, Missouri; one niece; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Gary.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656 Scholarship Fund or the Chillicothe United Methodist Church (Youth Programs) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
