Anne (Baldwin) Drewel
Anne (Baldwin) Drewel, age 90, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was the longest active resident at 22 years.
Anne was born the daughter of Charles Ernest and Elsie Sue (Porth) Baldwin on January 29, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of Lindenwood College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in biology, chemistry, and education. Anne was united in marriage to Billy Maurice Drewel on February 9, 1957, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1976. Anne worked as a nurse instructor for the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Anne was a teacher, an artist, and a needle worker.
Survivors include one son, Karl David Drewel of Jefferson City, Missouri; one niece, Susie Bliss of Carrollton, Missouri; and one nephew, Jim Little of Columbia, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Billy.
Funeral services will be held at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 4, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 4, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 3, 2019, from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery, Vandalia, Missouri.
