Ann Clevenger, age 82, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
Ann was born the daughter of Arno "Bunk" and Cordelia (Summers) Simpson on October 16, 1938, in Ray County, Missouri. She was a 1956 graduate of Norborne High School. She was united in marriage to Farrel Clevenger on February 8, 1959, in Hardin, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1994. Ann was a member of the Church of Christ, Braymer, Missouri.
Survivors include two sons, Farrel Clevenger and wife Kathy of Braymer, Missouri, and Jerry Clevenger and wife Susan of St. Joseph, Missouri; one daughter, Carol Gorham and husband Jerry of Braymer, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Simpson of Orrick, Missouri; one sister, Jeanette Dorland of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and friend, Freddie Imgarten of Braymer, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Farrel; daughter, Helen Pitts; son-in-law, Jay Pitts; grandson, Brandon Clevenger; brother, David Simpson and two sisters, Marilyn Simpson and Darlene Walker.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and/or Golden Age Nursing Home and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
