Alta Marie Deremiah

Alta Marie Deremiah Alta Marie Deremiah, age 81, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. Alta was born the daughter of Edward Lawrence and Anna Augusta (Anderson) Clark on June 26, 1932, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was united in marriage to James W. Deremiah on August 4, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1995. She was a 1978 graduate of Caledonia High School, Caledonia, Michigan. She moved to Jamesport, Missouri, from Weston, Idaho, in 2005. In 2007, she made her home in Chillicothe, Missouri. Alta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include two sons, George Deremiah and wife Jane of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and James Lee Deremiah of Newport, Michigan; two daughters, Rhonda Hathcock and husband Craig of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Ann Stocking and husband Bill of Martin, Michigan; nineteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Rhea Huey of Evart, Michigan; and one sister-in-law, June Kopenkoskey and husband Larry of Caledonia, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; one son, John E. Deremiah; one daughter, Lorelei Deremiah; and one granddaughter, Penny Stocking. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 3, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 3, 2013, one hour prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 2, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services and burial will be held at Weston Cemetery, Weston, Idaho, on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
