Allie "Granny" Hickman Allie "Granny" Hickman, age 99, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri, on Monday, March 6, 2017. Alveline was born on February 2, 1918, the daughter of James "Oat" and Mary Sophrona (Cobb) Peterie in Laredo, Missouri. On March 20, 1936, she married James B. Hickman in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1985. Allie was a member of the Utica Community Church, Utica, Missouri. She was the leader of the Girls GA for the Utica Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and playing Skip Bo. She is survived by one son, Jim Hickman of Cole Camp, Missouri; three daughters, Lucille Bryant of Chillicothe, Missouri, Louise Ward of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Linda Hickman (Roger Stuefen) of Columbia, Missouri; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri.
