Alice Merea McKinney Alice Merea McKinney, age 80, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Alice was born the daughter of Albert Mason and Vida Alice (Stephens) Gardner on January 9, 1938, in Trenton, Missouri. She was a 1956 graduate of Trenton High School. She was united in marriage to Richard McKinney on May 11, 1957, in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1989. Alice worked as a beautician in Chillicothe and Springfield. She was a member of The Salvation Army of Chillicothe and Springfield. Survivors include four sons, James Mason McKinney of Springfield, Missouri, Richard Alan McKinney of Sedalia, Missouri, Donald Dewayne McKinney of Strafford, Missouri, and Terry Jerome McKinney of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Sharon Harper and husband Ronald of Springfield, Missouri, and Reginia Deas of Springfield, Missouri, Dena Smith and husband Duane of Joplin, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; sixty great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. She was also survived by one brother, Billy George Gardner of Trenton, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Lee Ward of Trenton, Missouri, and Mary Lucille Chrisman of Trenton, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Samuel McKinney; four sisters-in-law, Karen Gardner, Trenton, Missouri Betty Bates of Hutchinson, Kansas, Thelma Keith of Angleton, Texas, and Jean McKinney of Higginsville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, LeRoy Graham; daughter, Pamela McKinney; granddaughter, Brittany Dawn Harper; great grandson, Jude Sackett; great-great grandson, Jaxson Brake; six brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
